Life as it is.

My beautiful Nanay is fifty.

She's the best. And she had three cakes that evening.

So domestic.

The weekend was filled with numerous events. Mother's fiftieth birthday was the highlight, of course. We just had a simple celebration at home, as we always do. I prepared several dishes! (Which I'm very, very proud of. Heehee.) I didn't think I had a master chef in me, but there you go. We did the groceries Saturday morning and I had my own big cart with me, which was filled with so much green! Haha! And plain yogurt and sour cream and olive oil and cream cheese and pasta and Italian spices and soya milk and a few sweet treats. Living healthy is absolutely worth it.

My shopping cart used to be filled with junk food.

I started preparing/cooking at around 4pm, while doing my laundry! Hahahaha. Oh geez. But I made it! I managed to have everything prepared by dinnertime and before our relatives arrived. Hehe. I really enjoy cooking and just basically experimenting in the kitchen. It's so so so much fun! I just wish I had more time to be my own chef.

What I prepared (from top to bottom): baked salmon in butter + lemon; roasted potato salad in yogurt, olive oil and lemon dressing with mint leaves on top; spinach, mushroom and tuna pasta in tomato sauce; cheesecake with chocolate chips on top. :')

Pops prepared some good stuff, too, of course! It's impossible for him not to do so. LOL!
What Pops made: shrimp in chili sauce; steamed lapu-lapu; lomi lomi salmon. :)

One: I love using lemon in my cooking. (Even in baking, yes! Cheesecake? Yup. With lemon.) And two, since I've decided to end my relationship with mayonnaise, I have found an alternative: plain yogurt with olive oil + spices. So so so good! :)

So I cooked on Saturday. Yesterday, when everyone else had gone home (relatives spent the night at our house), I gave the three dogs a bath and finally finished my laundry! Hahaha. I thought about washing the car, but I sort of passed out late in the afternoon.

I'm a terribly lazy person, yes, but when I'm in the mood, I'm good. ;-)

Cousins.

After church in the morning, we all returned to our house to have lunch together. Photo ops with my cousins, of course! Hahaha! (Also, feel na feel ko kasi yung mataas kong sapatos! LOL!)

Meet my Ate Cy. She's turning 32 next week! Time flies!
She's always babied me since, well, I was a baby. Up to now (just as nearly everyone else does in the family).

I'm not even going to deny it; they are my fave cousins.
Jacq (top-right) is my cousin's girlfriend.
Feel na feel ko din bangs ko. Ate Cy told me to flaunt it for these shots. LOL!

Monday again.

I shall never get tired complaining about Monday coming around too soon. (It especially comes around too soon when one has had an awesome weekend. Haha!) Anyway, I was organizing my photo folders and I realize that I use the office webcam as a mirror on a daily basis. HAHAHAHAHA. That, and I am a vain young lady. I don't know why I do what I do, but I do anyway.

Also, I'm really undecided about my "bangs" (and hair in general). And I quite like the lighting at my station. Pas mal, je suppose. My face is really round, too.

Anyway, Monday is here again. I honestly wouldn't mind longer working hours on weekdays as long as we have Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. That would be awesome.

Not that anyone cares, but the photos on the side (-->) show my 'daily looks' from September 4 until the 7th. HAHAHAHA. Why.

The only good about this particular Monday is that it's pay day. Finally! Totally rewarding myself with a new pair of heels and/or a good office outfit. Hmmm. =)

See you later, office.
