I love being a girl, but sometimes it just gets so tiring. How it takes at least fifteen minutes to get my hair & makeup done daily. (Yes, just 15! It used to take me about an hour! But sticking with the basics helps a whole lot.) And how annoying it can get to pick an outfit for the day (should I wear a dress? a skirt? plain tee? grey flats? pink flats? Chucks? sandals? omg what bag matches with my shoes? leggings? sleeveless top? do these colors match?). Anyway, with regards to putting an outfit together, it helps to keep in mind that shoes & bags work best if they are of the same color. No, not shoes and top / dress / bottoms -- shoes and BAG. (Then again, sometimes it cannot be helped. I feel a little embarrassed sometimes when I pair my shoe color & blouse, ack. See, girl problems.) How you need numerous amounts of pairs of shoes and bags. The need to shave your legs (and other parts of the body, perhaps) every two days. And don't get me started about emotional instability! Hormonal imbalance! Guy (or lack of a guy, in my case) problems. The whole friggin' works.
Being a girl is not always fun.
Sometimes I think guys have it easier. I know they deal with their own problems as well, but guys are more...chill. The best part about being a guy, in my opinion, is that they only have two options: pants or shorts. Then you can put on any shirt and all is well. I mean, SRSLY?! Oh, and metabolism that is 1364169473241x faster. Seriously.
I'm trying to get into the habit of dressing in a playful, tomboyish manner, but I think I'm failing at it. When I told some girl friends about my attempt to try to change my style to something a little more boyish, they just laughed and said I'd fail at it because of my very obvious chest area. I'm just like...okay.
Me: I shall try a new style.
Girl friend: Which is?
Me: To look more boyish.
Girl friend: You can't.
Me: Why not?
Girl friend: Umm, you have big b--bs, duh.
Me: SLKDJSOUGSLFJ Okay.
Buuuut. When talking about it with guy friends (and brothers), they're all like, "You should wear this and that. Dress this way...etc etc etc." Awww yeah. Wish restored. LOL
Also, I've been becoming more gangsta with regards to my music. HAHA! I'm usually into rock or indie stuff (okay, I listen to any and everything), but I've been listening to a whole lot of hip hop lately. Rack city, beesh, rack rack city, beesh. I'm definitely still thinking about joining a hip hop dance class. Or, if I find my DVD, I'll definitely start dancing in my bedroom by myself. Haha!
I really don't know how my brain functions sometimes.
But whatever. I still adore being a girl and being one of the boys is always fun stuff. Just a bunch of stupidity and laughter and deep insights that you never knew existed (this was definitely how it was like for me during the latter terms of my college life). I kinda miss being one of the boys at home / at the mall when I'm with both my brothers. Now it's just 'me and Bitok' which is not as much fun as 'me and Richie and Bitok'. LOL. True story.
