It's Sunday once more.

Today is gonna be the day
You hear somebody say
We need you wide awake
Tiptoe over the floor
What are you waiting for?

I recently discovered that it takes about an hour of exercise (nothing too intense) to burn half a pound of fat. Yet, it takes five minutes of intense eating to gain about two pounds. The world holds many mysteries.

I have been sweating quite a lot in the wee hours of the evening, which is kinda crazy. But I've always been a night owl and definitely not a morning person, so this works better for me. I have read articles about it and they say that the time of exercise does not really have much impact; rather, one ought to stick to a certain time of the day (or evening). Consistency and working out on the same time daily is what matters, according to nearly all articles I've read. So yeah. I'm thinking of doing early morning runs with Bitok twice or thrice a week as well.  Perhaps we'll go biking, too, like our parents. (I'm just afraid of getting hit by a car; I wish there were bike lanes here, like in Ayala Alabang. Haha. Wishful thinking.)

Bitok never ceases to amaze me with his art. Last Friday night I came home to a new (oil on canvas) painting: Hayao Miyazaki's face. I was just like, "OH MY GOSH. MIYAZAKIIIIII!!!!!!" It is amazing how much talent my brother has! I totally love his Luciano Pavarotti just the same. I mean, just...WOW. I'm definitely one proud big sister! ^_^

Yesterday afternoon we were making a mental list of people he should paint next. We came up with:
Natalie Portman (he really wants to paint Natalie with her shaved head from V for Vendetta)
Amélie Poulain (not Audrey Tatou, but Amélie in its essence)
Liv Tyler (because she suddenly popped up on my Tumblr dash and he thought she was hot, haha)
Louis Garrel (my idea, of course! but he said it'd be cool because Louis has this particular facial expression)
Edward Scissorhands (or Johnny Depp...because he's just amazing)
Star Wars Star Trooper (because my brother has a lot of love for that figure haha)

So excited for his next art work. His room could very well be an exhibit room; what with all the paintings scattered all over! Haha. Goodness!

Just a few of his paintings lying around his room. Yes, these are just a few.

In other news, I did something totally random yesterday afternoon: I called Gelo on the phone! ^_^ It's been such a loooooong time since I last spoke to him (he says it must have been three years, possibly more, since the last time we spoke on the phone) and I was just extremely glad when I heard his voice on the other line. The phone call was extra awesome because he was with Sheila at the moment, so I was able to speak with two wonderful people whom I haven't seen since 2002! It made me a bit nostalgic while I spoke to them, sad because I miss them so so so soooo much, but more than anything, I was totally overjoyed because for several minutes, it felt like they were so near. I ought to do these random phone calls more often. (Thank goodness for cheap long-distance calls to the US & Canada. Hihihi. We're always calling people in Hawaii, so why not dial Gelo's number every now and then as well, right? LOL)

That was instantly the highlight of my Saturday. =)

Then Bitok and I drove to SM later in the evening and bought tons of awesomeness from the supermarket. Haha. Whoopsie! I absolutely love grocery shopping! I think we spent more time (and money! haha!) in the supermarket (about an hour and a half, maybe?) compared to going around the shops around the mall. Hahaha! I've got my box of orange-flavored Zest-O (LOL! I love that stuff!), veggies, fruits, and tons more! Hihihi. Can't wait to cook lasagna for dinner later tonight! (I have been itching to cook something up during the past week.) =)

Life is pretty awesome at the moment. Now, if only I could control my eating better...and get rid of this horrendous muffin top! Exercise, exercise, exercise! More, more, more! Teehee.
