rediscovery.

The weekend, as it always does, breezed by a moment too soon yet again. I love love love weekends (or day-offs, really) so so so much! :) The best way to spend a weekend is to be lazy and comfortable; to just be, as was my weekend.

I spent the entire day of Saturday sleeping. I planned to clean my room and wash the car, but once I plugged my iPod into the speakers, I lied down on my bed and instantly fell asleep with the music playing for hours. It was such a hot afternoon so I opened my window and tied the curtain up; the wind definitely lulled me to sleep. I only got up for lunch, and again in the evening, for dinner. Haha! Talk about laziness. But after dinner, I decided to get some cleaning done. I managed to clear my shelves of all the clutter and as was mentioned in the previous post, I got rid of a number of things (bags from 25+, now down to 17, I think).

I'd like to believe I was a bit more productive today. After church, Parents decided to have breakfast at SM. They wanted to eat at Jollibee (LOL!), but when we got there, I was looking for their breakfast meal, but they didn't have any. So with the disappointed look painted across my face, my parents decided to go to McDonald's instead. HAHA. (I love my parents and they love me too much! =P) Breakfast at McDonald's = success. They went off to do the groceries while Bitok and I tried to shop. (Tried because we couldn't find the things we wanted to buy! I wanted a plain white tee and he wanted a pair of plain black slippers. So simple, but we couldn't find the ones we wanted; they were all either the wrong style or in the wrong color. We're both kinda choosy, apparently.) However, I ended up buying a pair of grey ballet flats from the department store. I couldn't not buy it; it was only Php300!!! HAHAHA!

I couldn't decide between these grey ones or the brown ones. Ended up with these, but might get the brown ones in the near future as well. LOL. Bitok's face as I was contemplating: -___-;;; Hahaha!

When we got home, Pops and Bitok brought in the vintage dresser my parents bought for me. I was a little annoyed at first because I had just managed to clean and rearrange a few things the night before. MY SHELVES WERE SO NEAT!!! T_T But those same shelves were taken away, replaced by this dresser that I am now in love with. Haha! Hence, much of the day (after my very quick afternoon nap, haha!) was spent cleaning and rearranging things in my room yet again. Now I have huge mirrors on each side of the wall: the really big one by the door, the full body length one from the Narnia closet (that my parents also newly purchased for me, bless them), and the one from newly installed dresser. (Seriously, can our house not have enough mirrors? HAHAHA! I'm afraid people might think we're narcissistic! LOL. I just learned earlier in the evening, too, that my parents' bed headboard is now a 4x5 ft mirror! They also had tons of rearranging to do in the room. I must say, I love that HUGE mirror for a headboard! So that makes both our bedrooms consisting of huge, full-length mirrors on each side of the wall. Don't get me started about the mirrors in the living room...)

I could very well turn into a very vain, high-esteemed young woman. Ha!

I was leafing through a bunch of things and rediscovered myself from the past. In a way, I kind of wanted a little bit of my old self back -- the one that was sooooo good and innocent. Haha! But there were also a bunch of things that made me go, "What the hell was I thinking?" I think, more than ever, I'm beginning to let go of the things I believe were so dear to me. I'm a really sentimental person and even went as far as keeping receipts. Each time I clean, I discard more and more things from the past. It kinda hurts sometimes because it feels like you're letting go of bits of memories from the life that was. But I need to make space for the future, for new treasures. :)

I still have a lot of cleaning (and discarding!) to do. From the latest clean-up, I managed to get rid of a bunch of cosmetics among other things! The things I've kept (and now let go of!) are crazy: goat's milk lotion, goat's milk bath (HAHAHA! I only use Johnson's Baby milk bath now; no soap bars for me, thank you), TONS of lip gloss (I used to really collect them), some makeup from Elizabeth Arden (too bad I had them when I wasn't too interested in makeup), some makeup from Clinique (former fave brand), tons of bags, bottles of body glitter (hahaha WTF!), bottles of hand sanitizers (I really prefer alcohol), numerous bottles of perfumes and colognes (I now only use cologne from Bench and fruit-flavored body spray, haha. oh! and occasionally, my fave perfume, Tommy Girl ^_^), bottles of coconut oil (I used to apply them on my legs so they'd be smoother? hahaha lame), random pen and abubot holders, wallets (because I don't use wallets; they're bulky and are usually so big -__-;;;), and a big chunk of clutter! Later this week I'll work on getting rid of some clothes, I guess. It feels good to let go of these things, actually. I have since realized that I can't take all my things to heaven with me, so I stopped holding on to material things years ago.

Got rid of the smaller makeup box. T_T I think this was the hardest to let go of during this clean-up. BUTTTTT, Mother decided to take it in. Haha! Yay. :)

I have also realized how much of a girly-girl I am. I had no idea I had tons of Hello Kitty merchandise! (And to think, Kerokeropi was my favorite Sanrio character!) About 70% of my things are pink. Despite getting rid of some cosmetics, I still have a drawer-full left. Haha! I have one too many headbands and hair accessories (I don't know why I buy them and end up not using them). I have so so so so much (cannot stress this enough) accessories such as earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces. I was just baffled, really, by the number of accessories I still have because I know I've gotten rid of a lot in the past already. Hahaha! My gosh. I also have one too many girly-covered notebooks and diaries (a lot of them are still blank; one is also covered in pink faux fur! LOL!!!). There are also still a number of nail polish; most of which haven't even been used yet. What's is wrong with me, huh. I also have two mini boxes of crafts materials such as beads and sewing materials (which made me miss being creative -- I used to make my own bracelets, necklaces, and sew my own bags).

Top: makeup stuff + nail polish (that aren't included in my 'daily makeup' bag);
Bottom: pens, markers, erasers -- writing stuff!!! (FACT: I always carry 2 or more pens in my bag.)

So anyway, I've come to realize that I'm bit more simple now. LOL!!! For instance, on a daily basis, I only use two shades of lipsticks (Nivea cherry-flavored lip care not included), two colors of eye shadow, two eyeliners (one liquid, one pencil -- both from The Face Shop, which I LOVE!), a blush on (Ever Bilena, I love thee. hahaha!), Clinique mascara (which I don't use daily because I tend to scratch my eyes unconsciously), and Avon or Johnson's baby powder for my face + neck (I do not and have never used foundation on a 'regular basis' -- makes my face itch, blech). Also, I don't wear so many accessories now (I used to be really colorful with this, haha). And my hair's usually just in a ponytail. And I just stick to three or four bags. Haha! (Apparently, I've come to be more simple -- if you call it that, really -- in terms of appearance. HAHAHA. Hmmm..)

Wow, who knew cleaning up could be so much fun? Whilst cleaning, I also did the laundry. I ended up having two laundry baskets of dirty clothes. WTF. My parents didn't wash any of my clothes; no wonder I didn't have much to wear during the past week. Kaya pala wala na kong masuot. HAHAHA. Pops kept insisting that doing the laundry was good "training" for me, but I had to keep reminding him that I learned how to use the washing machine + dryer when I was 10 years old, so I wasn't really "in training," but that I was just too lazy to do my own laundry. HAHAHA. Then Mother scolded me a bit because I used up (wasted) too much water and laundry detergent again. LOL! (That was the reason why they made me stop doing the laundry  2-3 years ago.) Oh well. At least I know how to do things. Haha.

I was also chatting a lot with Richie all throughout the afternoon. It was so nice to talk about things with him and I managed to share a few things that were bothering me, including the stupid rumors. By the way, look at what popped up on my Tumblr dashboard:

Haha. Okay, this really goes for all the people who carry on such a lame hobby.

You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
The Smiths

Anyway, I was getting a bit teary-eyed during some parts of our chat because he was really maturing and all I wanted to do was to go there and hug him and give him kisses on his cheeks. I'm really proud of what he's accomplished so far -- and only within a little over a month! He also told me a bunch of stories about people he's met in and out of work as well as his activities. I think tears welled up when I realized that I really was not responsible for him anymore, but that I can only look out for him from afar. (Like when I insisted on the helmet purchase after he bought a longboard.) He's really, really growing up, but definitely has a ton more to learn. He's excited about my future plans, too (which my parents discussed with me yet again).

So this guy he was talking to at the bank commends him for having a helmet (I guess he was on longboard) and Richie told him about me insisting on that helmet and awww... :')
(Of course I asked if the guy was cute, but turns out he's like 40+ LOL!!!)

I cannot wait for our very own EuroTrip!!! :')

Bitok and I went to Bo's Coffee at Molito at around nine. I really just wanted to go for a drive and hang out somewhere nice and quiet. What's a better place, right? Fave chill spot in the area, for sure! =) I just did a bit of writing and we talked as well. We like to share secrets every now and then. Hehe! After a couple of hours in the cafe, we went for a drive-thru at Mickey D's for some apple pies. Haha! OMG WE LOVE THAT STUFF! :) I love driving around and spending time with my Baby Brother, but we're always like, "Awww, wish Richie were here." :') I've been spoiling Bitok a little too much lately, I think. I really don't know what life would be like for me when he flies off to follow Richie as well. Le sigh.

Great evening overall; what better way to close the weekend than to mellow down, right? Teehee.

Chillen like villains. ^_^

zomggg i'm turning vain. hahaha loljk. yes, i clean with a huge gold headband on. LULZ.
the duck picture in the frame? yes, i drew that! hahaha.
