the weakness of man/woman

Human beings are attracted to good words, compliments, flattery. We all long for a special type of attention; we all long for love. We want to be special, special to someone. It's natural, as some would say.

What is upsetting is that we take in all the good, breathe it in, embrace it...without realizing that we're taking it all in from someone whose hands are unclean. Kind of like eating the most delicious food off of a filthy plate.

I've learned this at far too young an age. I'm no expert, but I know how people use such "methods" (if you will) to gain something. An advantage. To take advantage.

This is why I've stopped buying peoples' crap such a long time ago. (And yes, I know there are still a few out there with genuine hearts. They're just...quite rare now, which is saddening.) I've learned, then, and even now, that words have a way of being playful, especially when said right.

So, no, I'm not stupid. But yes, this is a very entertaining game. Having fun yet? Because I am.
