waiting for the good guy

Definitely a blog worth reading through. :)

We’re the guys who write their own vows because no one else can properly express the way we feel about you. We’re the guys who make the best husbands because we treat you as an equal and not as a possession. We ‘re the guys who cook you dinner because we know you’ve had a rough day and going out to eat isn’t the same as eating a meal prepared with love. We’re the guys that protect you and allow you to feel safe when the world is beating down your door. We’re the guys who remember your favorite song and hum it to you when you’re falling asleep in our strong arms. We’re the guys who can be the spiritual leader of a relationship—building a foundation of prayer and devotion so that our house may stand strong in Him.

I love how that is written by a believer. I love reading through his blog; it gives hope to (young) women such as myself. Haha. I always tell people that my number one "requirement" is that he has to be a follower of Christ, no questions asked. Great writer! His written works just have so much truth in them.

Here's one from another entry, To My Future Wife (What I Want):

I want to be the father you’ve always dreamed of for our children—strong and firm yet smiling, loving and accepting.

I want look at you after many years of marriage and still know that you’re all I’ll ever want or need and that you and you alone, fulfill me in all the ways a wife can satisfy a husband.

I want to grow old with you, our skin softening and our eyes fading. We’ll hold hands and take that same leave laced walk we took in the beginning, our hands still clasped together, the love between us as vital as ever.

I want to love you a day past forever. When our existence has expired and we are but a memory to the children and grandchildren we’ve left behind, I’ll still love you.

OH EM GEE, CAN ALL MEN HAVE THIS KIND OF MINDSET, PLEASE? Hahaha! He is amazing...an amazing writer with an amazing heart and an amazing love for God. (No, I don't know him personally but his writings give off that impression.)

And oh, he is the creator of tmfs on Tumblr, which, apparently, is the reason why I stumbled upon this author.

I do have a list of What I Want just the same, but I'm not sure I'm ready to share it with the world just yet. But as I have mentioned, He has to be a follower of Christ. Number one. All such other criteria are not as important...but would come off as a result by loving God first. :)

Okay, too much free time has led to too much posts about love and relationships. But I am enjoying this...I'm going to try to blog on a daily basis about any and everything. Makes sense, right? I'm always thinking too much anyway. ^^
