One Step at a Time

So earlier tonight I finally managed to do a workout routine on the Wii..for about an hour and ten minutes, burning over a couple hundred calories. Sweating and feeling my muscles stretch out felt great! I honestly think that Wii Fit is effective even though it seems like just a bunch of play. Anyway, I was pleased to have done my regular routine of breathing exercises, yoga, stretching, aerobics, advanced hula hoops (which got me tired the most!) and other chill games. Perhaps I'll go through the cycling and jogging exercises tomorrow evening.

I've decided to work on one thing at a time. And since my weight has been bothering me a whole lot lately, I ought to work on this area first. I will lose 25 pounds!!! (God, help me!) Not an easy task, so I'm giving myself three months. (Maybe I should make it four!) But yes, it doesn't matter how long it takes as long as I achieve it. (Well, okay, it shouldn't take more than five months!)

I don't know how long I can keep up with one big meal a day (still no rice!), but I really need to pair it up with exercise in order to really see results.

Hence, a tentative weekday schedule:
1pm-1130pm: WORK (this includes travel time to and from work)
11:45pm-12:45am: Workout on the Wii
1am-3am: "Extra" Work
3:30am-11:30am: Sleep (Yesss! Best part of the day!)

Anyway, I think that's pretty fair. I've thrown in enough time for work and an hour for working out, plus I get seven hours of sleep! I'm thinking of throwing in another hour of walking around the village in the morning, but like I said, I gotta take it a step at a time. Plus, I don't want to seem like I'm torturing myself.

But there goes my driving lessons. Usually, I practice my driving between 12 midnight to 1 in the morning. But I guess I'll have to work on it when pops decides to drive me to work and pick me up on a daily basis -- wherein, of course, I'll be doing the driving instead of him. I just need to boost my confidence on the road and get used to making turns and facing other cars on intersections anyway. But yeah, one thing at a time, self. One thing at a time.

I seriously hope this works out. Publishing that tentative schedule on this blog makes it seem official. It's a great reminder for me as well. Never give up, never surrender, self! :)
