So I live.

Hello, World!
Hello, Free Time!
Hello, Weekend! :)

I'm happy that I can momentarily let go of the workload and just sit back, relax and blog. :)

I missed blogging so much! I've wanted to spill a bunch of rants and stories and such, but I just didn't have a minute to spare. Crazy, right? Perhaps I'm just not managing my time effectively.

WORK.
There's just so many changes going on at work that it's driving everyone mad crazy. The workload has doubled for each tutor, hence the extreme lack of free time. Most of my Sunday afternoons are spent trying to prepare advanced lessons. Apparently it's not enough because I end up staying up until 4-5am during weekdays anyway. The financial crisis is sucking the life out of me. Ha ha!

NATURE DAY!
Oh, yes! I badly needed this. On the 21st, the whole fam ended up hopping on a bus to Nueva Ecija to see Tita Baby and Tito Rene, whom we looooove dearly. (*^_^*) We spent a day at their mango farm and hung out with chickens, ducks and dogs amidst all the greenery and fresh air. We ate tons of delicious food, too! It was simply wonderful. I adore their place and I can't wait to get back. Of course the next time we visit, I'll be bringing a tent because I seriously want to sleep over in the middle of the forest-like place they have there.

More pictures may be seen here.

WESYD!
So I decided not to join the team building with my co-workers last weekend at Laguna Hot Springs because I wanted to spend some quality time with my lovely high school friends. (The team building was an overnight event and I figured I probably won't be sleeping --- and I needed sleep badly, so I opted out.) Besides, we've been planning the little get-together for a while and nothing obviously pushed through. But alas! A lot (not all, unfortunately) were able to spare their Saturday evening at our place and we just ate and caught up with one another's lives. I love simple "together" moments like these. I especially love my high school friends because I can call them real people. There's no facade hindering one another from seeing the full view. Needless to say, we've grown comfortable with one another over the years. It's too bad, though, that we don't see each other often enough. In addition to that, we neglected the alcohol in front of us that night. HAHAHA. Reva, Jo and Olifie spent the night and we made crazy ass videos sometime between 2:30-3:30AM. (Of course those vids are available only for my contacts on Multiply and Facebook. Haha, the shame!!! :D) Fun times with fun people! :) (Pictures!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RICHIE!Haha, my brother turned seventeen yesterday. Since I had work and my mom was out running errands and stuff, we ended up having a very late "celebration" (think: eating) of sorts. Haha. We ordered pizza and the glutton in my brothers and I resurfaced. HAHAHA! We were so full but there was food left and we wanted to eat it all like there's no tomorrow. We ended up passing out about an hour after -- with aching but satisfied tummies. :D That is how we bond.

LIFE INSURANCE.
I decided that, despite the economic crisis, it was time for me to invest in my future. So I got myself life insurance. This was about a month ago, actually. But I realize that it's one of the major things that I'm investing in. It's no joke to have to pay large sums of money for these things. And I deem it necessary because this would take care of me when I die. HAHA. Since I've gotten insured, I couldn't stop cracking jokes like how it would be okay for me to die now. But yeah. I have many reasons as to why I decided to get insurance. One of those, perhaps, is so that I could have some "protection" of sorts should something happen to me in the future. A bonus, of course, is that I'm also investing in various entities (businesses?). Anyway, I mark this event as a real step towards adulthood. (Am I not an adult enough? Haha!) I'm just glad that Mymy is my agent. It puts my mind at ease, somehow. :)

BITOK'S GRADUATION!
Yes, my baby brother has graduated from high school last Friday (the 27th). Of course I couldn't attend his graduation (what's new?), but I'm glad his high school life is done and over with. HAHA. We were having doubts about this one...LOL. But yes, he's off to college in a couple of months. He wants to finish college here, by the way. So he's REALLY going to study here. Richie, on the other hand, will be enrolling in a couple of months as well just for the sake of being productive. I'm not sure if he'll be finishing his studies in the country (what with him turning 18 in a year), but I personally think that that's his better option. At least once he's graduated from college, he'll be able to go straight into work when he goes back to the US. Buuuttttt, we'll see how it goes. :) Wow, two college brothers this year..hehehe! ^_~

---

These are the good things (for now). Yes, even work is a great thing for me. Thank God my students are lovely. Well, not all, but those who make me smile and laugh make up for the naughty kids. Haha. Perhaps I'll get the negative stuff off my chest tomorrow. After all, I don't want to poison my insides with all sorts of negative junk. Haha.

I feel so happy that I've been able to blog --- and with pictures!!! :D
