Oh My Gaia!

HAHA!

I never really understood why my brothers were so hooked on Gaia. They used to spend hours in internet shops just to play Gaia. I always thought it was totally off for them to spend so much time on online games. But somehow, curiosity got the best of me. I promised them (because they'd always bug me about it and kept telling me to see for myself as I'm missing out or whatever) that I'd sign up for it and check it out once I've gotten my laptop. So I did. I think I joined last January or early February. But I never really bothered to open it much because I was too preoccupied with so many other things online.

But somehow...I've found myself signing in once in a while to play games. Little did I know I was getting hooked as well! Haha! Well, for one thing, it's a fun break from my usual "gotta make lessons, gotta search for English materials" routine. This is going to sound like a plug, but there really is a bunch of things to do on Gaia. There are a zillion games to choose from -- from jigsaw puzzles to slot machines to the usual RPG things -- I think they've got it all. There are "towns" you may go into as well, which are chat rooms in a more fun way because there are hundreds of avatars walking around the towns and those 'talk bubbles' popping out when you want to speak with others. I must say, the creators of this website are geniuses. They've thought of all the possibilities! Haha. No wonder my brothers (Richie, especially) can spend HOURS online, just on Gaia. It's probably unhealthy, but look at me. HAHA.

It's fun stuff, it really is. My favorite, of course, would have to be maintaining my aquarium. You get these various aquarium pets and you get to feed them and take care of them and stuff. Haha. I don't really care for the RPG or the chatting with various people part, but I do like to play word games and jigsaw puzzles (a reason for my brothers to laugh at me; because they think that's just "geeky"). Haha. Oh, and I also like to collect gold so that I may "pimp" my avatar up. HAHAHA. But yeah..I find it really cool that the members consists of all types of people. There are 12 year olds, there are 40 year olds. There are college kids, there are working people. There are moms on it, even! Haha. There's something for everyone on the site, I guess. I love at how animated everything is there. Not your typical RPG, this one's full of cuteness. :)

I should sleep now. Haha!
