Fresh Air

On the evening of the 18th of April, 2009.

I had such an awesome Saturday. :)

Forget the part where I woke up half past noon. And that it was unbearably hot that taking two steps makes you break a sweat. (Global warming is some scary, serious stuff man..) But anyway, after lunch with the fam, my brothers and I got ready to go to ATC. I was actually feeling really lazy (thanks to the heat) and wanted to just stay in and waste hours on the internet. But I managed to get dressed and got out of the house at around 3:30.

Richie and I spent hours and hours going around and around the mall (five times or more!) while Bitok went off with his really snobby friends. Haha. (Perhaps they're just shy boys?) But anyway, Richie and I ended up buying a cell phone for him (I hope this time he doesn't sit on it, break it in two peices or have it lying around for it to get stolen...gah, that boy). We bought a bunch of other stuff, too, so today my wallet nearly emptied itself. Haha.

I went to ATC to see Arby's band play, I guess. Bitok's friend, Leoj (who is friends with Arby and the band), told my brother that they were joining this band contest thing. So I decided to check them out; I had nothing else going on anyway. Let me just say: I'm so glad I went! It was just so refreshing because I had a great time, which I haven't had in quite a while (no thanks to work). It feels so good to let go of it all and just simply have a good time. :)

I wanted to dance around while their band played (cuz their music is really funky and cool to dance to!) -- but of course I couldn't do that. I was still surrounded by strangers after all. Haha. They played two songs in the competition and they totally stood out because most of the bands were doing hard core and screamo songs (eww much?). So yeah. I was able to talk with Arby for a short while, too. I haven't really seen him since graduation. Anyway, I'm glad they made it and will perhaps be playing again during the finals. Maybe I'll go again to watch, who knows. :)

Topped the evening off with the famous, gigantic Brooklyn Pizza. Love!

I realize that I really need to get out more often. I shouldn't be taking my work home, but that's so much easier to say than to do. I just wish the weekends were a little bit longer.
