3rd and 10th

Another fun Saturday! :) (Well, it would have been so much better if I didn't have a cold. How can one have a cold TWICE in one month?!) After five years, I set foot in Quezon City yet again. I'm not a big fan of the 'northern Manila' area; I guess people from the south [such as myself] and the people from the north are just..
different. Haha. I always feel lost and out of place whenever I got up north, for some reason.
Anyway.
We visited my Lolo Libor, who is 91 years old! Imagine that! Imagine growing old at that age! He's just 9 years shy from 100. :) My Inang (Nanay's nanay, hehe) --Lolo Libor's younger sister-- arrived last Monday from Ilocos Norte for a short vacation. She brought with her a handwritten letter from Lolo Libor (written just last year), narrating his life. Or, the first half of his life anyway because his own family was not included yet. So we thought we'd pay a visit and see how he was doing since his sibling's here. And oh, wow! How amazing it was! I was so caught up with the exchange of stories between Inang and Lolo Libor. [Another fact: Inang is 72 years old and is the
tenth of ten kids. Lolo Libor is the
third.] I had tons of fun watching them and I just took as much pictures as I could. I met tons of extended relatives, too, from my Nanay's side. There were a bunch of Policarpios in the house, yo! :D Makes me want to run away from work and live in Ilocos for an entire month. Haha. I suddenly have this urge to hop on a plane to Ilocos and just..be there. See my relatives. Inhale fresh air. Eat lots of vegetables. Haha. :) Perhaps I should take a leave one of these days and do just that. I can't really afford to lose 10 hours on a bus if I travel on the road. Hmm..such a tempting thing to do..
Well we didn't stick around too long. We do live on the other side of the metro, literally. (Which is roughly translated to a two-hour commute!) But we did manage to stop by Quiapo (for no particular reason) and found us some great finds for the feet. Haha. My grandmother, my mother and I now have identical sandals. HAHA :D

This means three generations. :)
