i miss this stuff.

After ten thousand years of not blogging and making any presence in the world wide web (haha, kidding! just blogger), I am here yet again.

FIVE MONTHS OF BEING ON A HIATUS!
Wowoweeeee. Haha. So much has happened. I'll try to list down some of them. Haha.

- I finished my OJT.
- I applied at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
- I graduated and marched to get my diploma from the LaSallian brother at PICC Plenary Hall on July 7.
- I got accepted at the DFA.
- My first day at the DFA was on July 11.
- On July 12, I was called in at CITEM (Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions. (Which meant I did not go to work at the DFA on my supposed 2nd day. Haha!)
- Went back to DFA the next day. Didn't go back after that. No resignation. No nothing..I just didn't go anymore. Haha.
- Between July and October, I was mostly out on a job hunt (e-mailing various offices, going to job fairs, having interviews; you name it, I've done it!). Haha. Several times I was 'out there' with Princess. Thank goodness for company. Haha. =) It sucks to be alone in the real world, you know. =P
- I turned twenty-one.

So far in my adult life, I've had interviews with:
- APAC (a call center. The only call center I applied at, early July, even before graduation. I didn't show up for my final interview because I realized I didn't want to work at a call center, but they didn't stop calling me till late last month. I never answered their calls. Haha!)
- DFA (started there, lasted for two days, decided to leave. the end.)
- CITEM (passed the interview and the exam..was supposed to start the next day after taking the exam..but..don't know what the heck happened after that. It all got messed up. Or something. Haha.)
- FRENCH EMBASSY! (Cess and I turned in our resumes on a Friday, I got called in on a Monday morning for an interview on the same day in the afternoon......and BOINKED it! Because it was in pure French! HA!)
- this place (but I didn't make it! haha!)
- C + S something group..it turned out to be an employment agency. blah. 'nuff said.
- Wellness, Inc. with Cess at Makati! 'Nuff said!!! Haha. That was the worst, I think.
- Supply Oilfield Services (an oil company owned by a French businessman, looking for a bilingual secretary..yet again, interview in FRENCH!! Boinked it too. Duh.)
- this place (again! This time I made it! I make a month today!)

And just last month (mid-October), I was finally on a roll with this place. And yes, for the second time around. I applied late July (with Rej) and neither of us got a call back. Hahaha! But friends (who also work here) urged me to give it another try..so I did (by myself this time) and I finally made it! =) I'm an English teacher for Koreans. Who would have thought?!

This place has all the convenience:
+ 15 minutes (30 if it's traffic) from my house/village
+ my shift starts at 2pm and ends at 11pm
+ high basic salary
+ very little expenses (44pesos/day max for transportation compared to 100+pesos if I went to work in Manila or Makati)
+ stress-free work

Haha. So there. I make one month today. (A week of training + three weeks of being officially on the floor.) Wowness! =) Plus! Plus! I'll be having my first student tonight. Haha! So for the past month, all I've been doing are powerpoint presentations (for the daily lessons) and Teaching Plan Materials. So far I've already made 60+ presentations. Haha. And this week I've just been doing revisions because I lack grammar activities. Hehe. Aside from that (like when I get sick of making presentations), I've been browsing the web. Haha. Mostly on Multiply though. (Which I think is illegal? Because it's not 'official work stuff'.) Haha. Oh well..it's all gooood. Needless to say, I am happy where I am today.

I have a job.
I'm earning some.
I'm not stressed at work.
I love the people in my team.
I think I'm settling in just fine.

I can't wait for my first student! Less than two hours to go. =)
