hmmm.
I didn't have my OJT today.
Ms. Lorica (chairperson of the CDA department) sent me a text message last night asking me if I could attend a meeting. I said yes and thought I'd just have my OJT in the afternoon. Turns out that the meeting was with a LaSallian brother, just "checking up" on the students of Benilde -- our insights, expectations, experiences, etc. There were five "representatives" -- that would be me and four other CDA majors. (I know Ms. Lorica called in more, but they apparently didn't show up.) So yeah. That was pretty cool. I kinda hate interviews/open forums (that are FORMAL!), so I was pretty much being candid all the way through. Haha. So much for being sent out as a representative of the CDA population. xp Then Toots came (she didn't have her OJT in the morning as well) because we had to turn in our evaluation forms (for graduation). Today was the last day. Unfortunately, my meeting and her arrival hit lunch break, which meant closed offices. And we had to wait until 1:30 for the registrar's office to open -- and we ended up feeling all "bleh" about going to the DFA for OJT. So we stayed in school. I worked and she did her own stuff. Ahh, sayang ang "decent attire" ko for the day! Haha! --- University of Sto. Thomas yesterday. Waaahhhh. A bunch of us met up in school in the morning and hopped on a FX. Me, Cess, Bert, Vinh, Keiron, Errol, Am, Arby. Squished much?! Haha. We had the thing to ourselves, so 'twas quite okay. UST is huuuuge. I never really realized that before yesterday. Haha. Nuts. Anyway, we had to attend this Interfaith Dialogue thing. Islam and Christianity, more specifically. Big people in there: Jose de Venecia, Alberto Romulo, Ambassadors of Iran and Thailand, Archbishop of the Phils. -- well basically a lot of names in the foreign affairs (here and from some Muslim countries). It was quite interesting, only it was super cold in the auditorium that I ended up dozing off. =( My bad. We had a 15 minute break -- we decided to utilize this well and eat at Wendy's. Haha. Again, a bunch of us: Me, Cess, Bert, Errol, Keiron, James, Krissy, Ivan. With students from UST, of course. It felt weird. It always feels weird when you aren't in "your territory." Well, most of us felt lazy afterwards and decided to ditch the remainder of the seminar (which would be until 4pm)! Haha. I went home and at the sight of my bed, I fell into a deep slumber. And beginning tomorrow, I really, really must push my body to get up early and get my ass to DFA EARLY so I can burn more OJT hours. Oh, and I'm back on the diet track. No more packed lunch for me. NO MORE! (Hello, once again, crackers and bottled water!) |
