Les Misérables

I was watching a random video on YouTube and landed on a guy playing On My Own on the piano. Then I thought to myself, "I know the lyrics for this song by heart!"

True enough, I still know the lyrics by heart. I remember, when I was taking voice lessons (yes, I actually did! for a few sessions!), this was my first assignment. Haha! My voice instructor chose this for me and I would practice at home, playing this song over and again in the house. Needless to say, I was never able to sing the song as a whole because I quit my voice lessons. LOL.

But still, I love this song so much! (I'd say "story of my life" if it were classy enough to do so. Ha.)

And of course I have seen this movie a number of times in the past! I felt compassion for Jean Valjean and loathed Inspector Javert because what the heck, the officer just couldn't let go! Anyway, I didn't know who Liam Neeson was then; all I knew was he was the good guy in Schindler's List (which I've seen so many times before and it still remains one of the best movies of all time in my list).

And now they're doing this. It seems promising; I'd love to see this in the cinemas next month. =)

This weekend I'll make it a point to visit BookSale and pick up a copy of Victor Hugo's masterpiece.

Hooray for the (long) weekend!
