“Life is more interesting when you’re happy.”
Kelsey Wynne Harris
I pretty much plopped dead on my bed when I came home last night (thanks for the lift, TL Jeff -- haha, TL?!?). Had a very early morning, thanks to badminton. Haha. Came to work so early and I was already falling asleep even before the shift started. I had to participate in the Quiz Whiz and had thirteen classes all throughout the shift. What fun! (I was seriously dozing off as I was talking to one of my students during an evening class. GAH.) I haven't done any of my comments either.
Lesson learned: no more extreme body workout before shift. (Or one that starts way too early in the morning, anyway.) Crazy. So glad it was a Friday.
Stayed in bed until 11:30 this morning; when I got up my entire body was aching like crazy. Plus, it's day one of the monthly girly thing so I had extreme cramps for a few hours. Hate. It. When. That. Happens. -_-
But yeah, Bitok and I still managed to play a bit of tennis (I lost all the matches we had), bowling, and baseball on the Wii. I asked him to set it up after so so so sooo long. I missed playing on the Wii! ^_^
Then I slept for a few hours in the afternoon because the cramps were literally sucking the life out of me.
---
Welcome back to life, love. I shall be with you daily.
Thanks to my PBF, who now acts as my fitness consultant (naks!), I was determined to get back with the Wii Fit Plus. Hahaha! OMG! So I worked out on it for about an hour and sweat like crazy. I LOVE IT. I love all this body pain. I just hope I can keep this up. As PBF says, it's all about consistency. Tru dat, tru dat. I think I'm really going to have to give up kgb_ for good to make room for all the workout. I really, really, really want a better, healthier body. =)
Anyway, when the Wii was doing its usual body measure and tests, it said that I lost 17.9 pounds since the last Wii workout. From being labeled Overweight with a 26.02 BMI, I am now down to Normal with a BMI of 22.85 at 129 pounds. OH EM GEE! (The Wii is pretty accurate in my case, really.) I need to burn more calories and lose 19 more pounds! COME ON, BODY, YOU CAN DO IT! ^_^
My hour-long workout routine consisted of a series of fun activities: yoga, aerobics, and some games that require you to move your body.
Yoga + Strength Training routine:
(13 minutes -- I always start with this routine & I LOVE IT! My favorite for sure.) Half-Moon Torso Twists Single-Leg Twists Chair Tree Jacknife Balance Games and Aerobics: Advanced Step (10 minutes) Snowball Fight Perfect 10 Ended with: 30-minute Free Step (total steps for this evening's Free Step: 3,073)
During the 30-minute free step (which is totally similar to walking-brisk walking, depending on the chosen pace), I also made use of dumbbells, which weighed 2.5kg each. (Pops just handed it over to me. LOL) It would be nice to have muscles instead of flabs on my upper arms. (BUT IS IT SAFE TO DO THIS? I shall research later.) Anyway, I did the free step with dumbbells for 15 minutes; the other 15 were spent without it. Now my body hurts more than ever and my arms are just shaking. HAHAHA. I need to do this daily. With mooooore activities. Island Cycling, Hula Hoop, Rhythm Boxing, Ski Jump, and Skateboard Arena are some of my favorite Wii Fit Plus games, which I obviously didn't get around to doing this evening.
Man, I feel awesome! Must do this routine (and more!) daily. Must. Must. Must.
Now Bitok is demanding me to purchase a punching bag. He keeps saying how he wants to be a UFC fighter. And I'm just like, Bro? Ang laki ng katawan mo? HAHAHA. That kid is weird. He's always doing these boxing dances around the house. Haha. I'm still considering the purchase. (He wants that or a skateboard.) *shakes head* Such a demanding Baby Brother.
Speaking of brothers, Kid Brother Richie is still awake in Honolulu. Chatting with him now to get updates.
Saturday well-spent? I think so. :)
