lazy weekend

This past weekend has been pretty good because I basically spent two days treating my body well. (Read: lots of sleeping, eating and lounging around. Haha.) Most weekends I'm off at the mall with friends or family so spending a lot of time with my bed was a great feeling overall. :)

Earlier today I've downloaded (bad, I know) some French films just because. Plus, this one has Louis Garrel in it. ♥ All this week I've been translating things, in French, in my head. It's like an automatic thing; it's kind of weird but it's also a relief that I still remember how to say a few things in French. I really ought to study the language again.

Plus, I've been drooling over some gadgets lately. Of course I wouldn't purchase anything that I don't need (I 'm totally fine with my old LG candybar-type phone), but I'm really considering getting a new phone that's classy and multi-function, if that makes sense. I'm keeping the price within $200, but it has to have absolutely everything I need/would use on a daily basis. The number one requirement would be wi-fi. (Haha, as if I'm not already in front of the computer 24 hours a day!) Not a fan of Apple products, but wow, the iTouch is just $200? (I know it's not a phone, but it seems like a useful luxury!)

Anyway, stuff I want (okay, yeah, because I really don't "need" these):
The LG Cookie is basically at the top of my list: phone, wi-fi, camera and music all in one. The best thing is it's under $200! What a deal, right? Then there's the iTouch, which I just like because of its applications and wi-fi capabilities. Plus, I can totally watch movies anytime, anywhere! Then there's Samsung Corby, which has everything else but wi-fi connectivity. Too bad, I like the idea of having a QWERTY keypad, too. But yeah, one of these seems like a good Christmas gift for myself. HAHA! We'll see how it goes.

But really, the one I'd love to have MOST is a new laptop. I'm thinking of getting Lenovo or Fujitsu. I'm really starting to not trust American brands anymore (notice how LG and Samsung are up there ^). I also think Apple products are impractical and just downright costly (except for the iTouch -- it seems fine, but the iPhone is outrageous, that's for sure). Sigh. I just need a laptop that I can carry around the house (out on the yard, in the living room, in my room haha) and out of the house for when we got out of town. I need it for work, mostly, but it's also quite convenient to have a computer available wherever you go, you know. SIGH. I wish Santa Claus were real. I could really use a nice laptop under the Christmas tree this year. :-P

Oh yeah, that's right. I'm still paying my car off. Come on, Santa, please? Pretty please with cherries on top? :-)

Of course my savings could use some extra money for when I travel to Africa or South America or France. Ha!

Sleeping too much over the weekend causes one to dream too much, I think. Even when one is wide awake.

Monday again. Bring me back to dreamland now. :|
